Dear UKOA members,

NHS England & Improvement Planning Letters are to determining what CCGs prioritise in their service delivery and improvement. It is very exciting that, as a consequence of the national eye care recovery and transformation programme work, for which UKOA members have been key stakeholders, for the first time there is a detailed eye care guidance document for commissioners, systems and regional teams in this annexe to the recent planning letter. This dramatically raises the priority of eye change across England for the next 12months.

The relevant summary message, which has been sent to regions to cascade to commissioners, is below and the annexe (attached) is located on the NHS Planning section of the NHS Futures Platform. It is fine to share this information with your teams and colleagues. Thank you for all your help in making this happen.
