LGBTQIA+ History Month (LHM) is an annual event running throughout February and this year the theme is ‘Medicine – #UnderTheScope’.

LHM was founded in 2004 by Schools OUT co-chairs and is celebrated every February across the UK to provide a platform for raising awareness, celebrating LGBT+ lives and their full diversity.

This year’s theme celebrates LGBTQIA+ peoples’ contributions to the field of medicine and healthcare, both historically and today.

BIOS would like to:

• Celebrate this diversity among our members
• Encourage leaders and managers to support staff and students through compassion and inclusivity
