Job description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Orthoptist to join our team as Visiting Clinical Tutor (VCT) within the Optometry Department at City, St Georges University of London.
This role involves supervising and supporting 3rd year undergraduate Optometry students as they deliver patient care in a professionally supervised environment.

Our dynamic teaching model blends academic knowledge with real-world clinical experience, ensuring our students graduate with confidence and competence.
About the Role:
As a Visiting Clinical Tutor, you will play a key part in shaping the clinical and professional skills of our students. You will:
- Supervise students in BV/Paeds patient clinics
- Provide one-to-one clinical teaching and small group supervision
- Support students in the development of patient management and decision-making skills
- Participate in clinical assessments and student feedback
- Work within a team of highly experienced clinicians with a range of specialisms
We are looking for Orthoptist who:
- Has a minimum of 4 years’ post-registration clinical experience
- Has an interest in education and student development
- Has experience supporting or supervising students in clinical practice
Training and ongoing support will be provided.
