Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Highly Specialist Glaucoma Orthoptist to join our innovative and supportive Orthoptic team. This role combines specialist orthoptic practice with a key role in our orthoptic-led glaucoma monitoring service, offering opportunities to develop advanced clinical, leadership, teaching and service development skills.

The successful candidate will work alongside Orthoptists, Ophthalmologists, Nurses and Orthoptic Assistants, supporting glaucoma and core orthoptic services, service improvement initiatives, and the education of students, apprentices and junior staff.

We welcome applications from experienced Orthoptists with an interest in glaucoma care and career development. A Band 6 developmental pathway may be considered for suitable candidates. Full-time and part-time applications are welcome.
