The Orthoptist apprenticeship standard is a new development supported by employers and the British and Irish Orthoptic Society (BIOS) to provide a new route for people to train to become an orthoptist. The Orthoptics apprenticeship standard has been approved and can be viewed here: Apprenticeship standard.
We are working towards delivering this through a distance learning university programme, supported by orthoptic mentorship locally. We need some more information from our members to help us proceed with planning this.
