Leadership development for professional association leaders is rare. The Future Leaders Course, run by the British Dietetic Association (BDA), is at the forefront of developing participants with a unique programme, developed by us and approved by the Institute for Leadership and Management. This programme will help develop you so that you are better prepared to take on leadership roles within BIOS, as well as improving your skills and competencies. This is invaluable for anyone interested in personal development and seeking leadership roles in any sector.
Are you interested in being more involved in BIOS? Have you thought about what it takes to make a change within BIOS and how you could help influence the profession? Are you seeking a challenge and want greater experience to carry with you into your other roles?
BIOS have funded places on previous courses and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive:
“the Future Leaders programme has supported me by giving me that base knowledge and the confidence to apply for ‘more senior’ roles within BIOS”
“it was great for me to delve more into the different types of personal skills, attributes and attitudes that are required to be a leader and helped me to increase my knowledge and skill”
“it was a great experience listening into the live events … which were very interactive and a great place to listen and understand perspectives from other future leaders and those who are pushing the boundaries within their careers”
This leadership programme will see you take on a 6 month programme, alongside Future Leaders from other professions. Using expert tutors you will cover high level strategic topics covering strategic finance, good governance, leadership skills, diversity training and much more.
