Congratulations to our Vision and Strabismus (MMedSci) GRADUATES!

BIOS British and Irish Orthoptic Society. Logo includes eye in brand colours.

In January we celebrated another joyous graduation ceremony for Orthoptists on our Vision & Strabismus Masters programme.

The University of Sheffield is the only institution in the world to offer a dedicated masters programme in Vision and Strabismus.

One of our international graduates Ewa Witowska-Jeleń is an Orthoptist with over 25 years of experience and a passion for strabismus. Ewa shares her transformative journey of studying via distance-learning from Poland, and the ways in which the masters has shaped her career.

“I run my own practice in Cracow (Poland), which specialises in neuro-orthoptics. I am primarily a practitioner but also a lecturer. I collaborate with many ophthalmologists, strabismologists, orthoptists, and optometrists, for whom I conduct courses and lectures.

“Completing my studies in Vision and Strabismus has allowed me to enhance my professional skills and has also given me greater confidence when participating in scientific conferences”.
