Today saw the publication of the refreshed BIOS Strategy, building on the strong foundations of our original five-year plan while reflecting the progress made and the priorities that have emerged since its launch.
The original five-year strategy was signed off in 2023, with a commitment to review it after three years. A refreshed version was therefore presented as part of the BIOS AGM in Glasgow and, following final updates, has now been formally approved and published.
While retaining the vast majority of the original strategy, the refresh strengthens and updates a number of our existing priorities. It also reflects the significant progress made by BIOS over the past three years, ensuring that our strategic direction continues to reflect the organisation’s development, achievements and the changing needs of the profession.
The refreshed strategy provides continuity while recognising how much has been achieved since 2023. It gives us a clear framework for building on that progress and continuing to deliver our ambitions for BIOS and the orthoptic profession over the coming years.
