BIOS have launched a new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, Building and Inclusive Future, reaffirming our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment throughout the orthoptic profession.
This strategic initiative, led by the BIOS EDI Lead, aims to embed Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles into our practices and culture, fostering an environment where every member feels valued, supported, and empowered.
As part of this strategy, we aim to create EDI Diversity Networks — safe, collaborative spaces where members can engage in meaningful discussions, share their diverse perspectives, and contribute to positive change within BIOS. These networks will provide essential support for challenging norms, fostering inclusive practices, and amplifying every voice within our community. By joining these networks, members will have the opportunity to showcase and develop leadership skills, driving forward BIOS’s commitment to inclusivity across the orthoptic profession.
