BIOS launch new Curious Eyes children’s activity sheet

Crest resource

To mark British Science Week, we’ve launched a new CREST SuperStar-inspired activity for children called Curious Eyes. It lets children explore how our eyes work, why humans have 3D vision, and how predators and prey see the world differently.

Through simple hands-on experiments with thumbs and soft balls, children can discover depth perception, visual development and evolution in a fun and interactive way.

Children can complete this and other activities to earn their CREST SuperStar Award, encouraging observation, patience, coordination, problem-solving and curiosity about STEM and vision science.

This resource is an innovative way of supporting our strategic aims of promoting understanding of orthoptics and increasing the visibility of orthoptic careers.
