Thank you to those who responded to the questionnaire surrounding the 2025/2026 pay offer. As an Executive Board, our job is to bring your voices to the national table in response to this. There was no consensus as to what a meaningful pay rise would look like to members, but from the returned surveys, the opinion was strike action in England is not currently an option that members are willing to consider.
From the survey results, there was no indication that respondents wanted to proceed with industrial action, so we will not be moving onto a ballot in England. Those members in devolved nations would be advised to connect with their local staffside colleagues and the Executive Board.
It has highlighted that there are separate issues in our devolved nations, and we would encourage you to engage with the Executive Board as developments come out from your respective governments.
The questionnaire has highlighted issues outside of the pay offer, and we would encourage you to engage with your local and regional trade union leads separately to discuss this.
If you would like to discuss the pay offer further, please contact the Executive Team.
