09.30 - 10.15            Dr Alex Leff, ‘Read-Write and Eye Search therapy for stroke survivors.’

10.15 - 11.00            Dr Graham Jensch ‘Psychological Factors in assessment and rehab  for stroke patients.'               

11.00 - 11.20            Coffee break

11.20 – 11.50            Liz Tomlin – Neuro-orthoptic Investigation

11.50 – 12.20            Rowena McNamara, a joint approach to visual rehab with OT

12.20 – 13.30            Lunch and networking

13.30 – 14.00            RCP Guideline Update (Dr Fiona Rowe)

14.00 – 15.00            Workshops – two parallel workshops will take place. 

  • Workshop One – Practical session for beginners to stroke services
  • Workshop Two – Enhancement workshop for advanced orthoptists (including research, audit, commissioning and advanced skills)

15.00 – 15.45            Sharing of patient stories & Local Stroke Association Representative

The price includes refreshments and lunch on the day, but EXCLUDES overnight accommodation or travel costs. Cancellations maybe made up to two weeks before the event, if you discover that you cannot attend after that time, you may send another similar delegate in your place.
