Kay Picture stand (selling fixation toys etc.)
1400 – 1430 Freddy Beer ST5 - The use of the Plus Optix in Orthoptic led clinics.
1400 – 1500 PhD research on Colour vision and diabetes.
1500 – 1530 Audiology and the Vestibular System. Ellie Derby and Dani Boulter STP (Clinical Scientist)
1545 – 1600 Meeting Closes
How to find us:
If arriving by car the hospital is located on the A340, Aldermaston Road in Basingstoke: follow the Hospital signs from the Ring Road. If using a SatNav, the postcode for the hospital is RG24 9NA
If arriving by train, outside the train station at the bottom of the steps are bus stops, buses from there can drop you off on hospital grounds. For information on up-to-date bus times visit: www.stagecoachbus.com (Note: the hospital is listed as “Rooksdown, North Hampshire Hospital”)
Alternatively there is also a taxi rank next to the train station.
The Hospital is about a 30-40 minute walk from the train station. Below is a map of the easiest walking route to the hospital.
There is FREE parking available to attendees. On driving onto hospital grounds, turn left at the mini roundabout and follow signs to “The ARK”. This will take you around the hospital to the back where there is “The ARK Car Park”. Tap the buzzer at the barrier (or there may be a member of staff waiting there) and let them know you’re attending the BIOS training day.
Alternatively you can park in the patient car park area.
Prices are as follows: Up to 1 hour - £1.00/1 hour to 4 hours £3.00/Above 4 hours £6.00
On the following pages are both a site map of the hospital (with markers indicating The Ark and parking areas etc.) and walking directions from the train station to the hospital.
