The BIOS Scottish Branch is pleased to announce the Social Programme for the Scientific Conference
Tuesday 19th August
For those of you who would like a wee dauner* around the City of Glasgow there is a 60 minute walking tour led by a Glasgow School of Art Student.
The talented walking guides reveal Glasgow's vibrant arts scene and bring architecture alive with the story of Mackintosh's Glasgow!
Tour starts at 6pm and costs £17.50
Umbrellas/ponchos will be provided, just in case it’s a bit dreich*!
Following the tour there is a meal at Urban Bar and Brasserie. The meal is booked for 7.30pm and is payable at the time (based on your choice).
It would be lovely if you could join us for the walking tour, the meal, or both. It’s an ideal opportunity to meet people and get a good blether*.

ENTERTAINMENT Gala Dinner at the stunning House for an Art Lover
The evening will start off with a Civic Reception hosted by the Lord Provost of Glasgow. This will be followed by a 3 course meal with wine.

The evening costs £45 which is great value for money and includes transport to and from Glasgow City Centre.
Starter - salad of smoked venison, red chard, mizuna with spicy pears and truffle dressing
Main - supreme of chicken, timbale of haggis, neeps and tatties, root vegetable, whisky cream sauce
Dessert - Dark chocolate torte with raspberry coulis and raspberry sorbet
