Overseas candidates - the profession of orthoptics is regulated by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and so those interested in working in the UK & I have to have their qualifications checked before a temporary or full permit is granted
Jobs are available once a permit has been secured, subject to local checks and policies . The main employer for orthoptists in the UK& I is the NHS and these are the two main sites where jobs are advertised.
